Greek life at mcgill?

Hello everyone,
I’m an international student and interested in potentially coming to Canada for my undergraduate education.
My main concern in regard to social life is fraternities and sororities, and how dominant they are on campus. The whole concept is very foreign to me and I don’t think I would fit in at a frat house. I’m worried because I’ve heard greek life is very prevalant at North American colleges. How dominant is it at McGill?
Thanks in Advance!

Greek life would be an issue in a rural, isolated campus where there is not much else to do but party and drink. That is not the case with McGill, which is smack dab in the middle of urban Montreal, in one of the best cities in North America for social activities. You can do so much there without so much as even noticing there are Greeks on campus.

Not an issue at McGill. Being smack dab in the middle of a city keeps it real.

I know someone who went there six years (two degrees), both daughters toured McGill (with me tagging along), and I lived in Montreal for a few years. I never even noticed that McGill had fraternities. Apparently it does but if you don’t look for them you probably won’t notice them at all.
