How many of you walk around your college thinking “Wow, being in a Greek organization must be so much fun! The sisterhood/brotherhood probably helps you study, throws meaningful parties, and fully commits themselves to the community”? Now how many of you think otherwise?
Truth is, Greek life varies from University to University. The statement can be completely false, or it can be completely true. What about the argument for individuality?
Do you see the people who wear the Greek letters as their name or as the organization? Do you wonder what major they think they’re capable of studying, or do you wonder what she/he did this past weekend with the organization they’re a part of?
General question: Do you see them as individuals at first, or do you see the Greek letters first and the organization? Do you believe Greek life takes away from your individualism and promotes cliques within your college?
(I want to hear thoughts from NON pledged independents, not members please)
