So, I know there is a small Greek scene on campus, but considering we are talking about the University of Chicago, I'm assuming it isn't the same at a large state school. Or is it?

I'm debating rushing, but I don't know if I really want to. Anyone on here care to talk about the sororities? What's the scoop on each one? Is the Greek scene nonexistent? Is there a point in rushing?

Campus is about 10, 15 percent Greek? It’s like an optical illusion: if you’re not looking for it, it’s invisible, but if you’re looking for it, you’ll see it clearly. I think your decision to rush should come once you get settled on campus. There is no formal rush period that I know of. That’s not saying it doesn’t exist.

There are three sororities: Kappa Alpha Theta (“Theta”), Alpha Omicron Pi, and Delta Gamma. I know members of all three sororities and I cannot distinguish among them.
