green card question

<p>I am currently waiting for my green card since June last year. I already received the letter welcoming me to the US as a new resident but on the letter it said that I will receive my green card on the mail within 30 days but i haven't gotten it yet. My mother called the immigration office and they told her that they're doing a background check and that they will mail it soon. So far i have my work authorization card nd a SSN. So my question is if I could apply for financial aid trough the FAFSA application even though i dont have my green card yet?</p>
