This thread is devoted to the community surrounding Furman. What does everything think about Greenville? Personally, it was a swing factor in my decision. I love the area. Anybody else?

I sent you a PM with some info to answer this question. Check it out:)

I'll be starting this fall at Furman, the school I've always wanted to attend. I've lived in Greenville all my life and I love it, so I might be a little biased. We have a little bit of everything here in Greenville: a nice urban cosmopolitan downtown to go along with areas of natural beauty (Paris Mountain State Park, the Blue Ridge Mountains). Our downtown has been undergoing revitalization for the past few decades. The Liberty Bridge, a new foot bridge over the Reedy River, is a must-visit for any Furman prospect and/or visitor to Greenville. We just opened up a new ballpark downtown that was designed to resemble Fenway Park for our Minor League Baseball team, the Greenville Drive, an affiliate of the Boston Red Sox. Greenville has a thriving community of artists. Artists from all over come to Artisphere, a festival held in spring. Greenville is situated nicely between Charlotte and Atlanta and you're never too far from either the mountains or the beach. Here's a few interesting links to check out:
