<p>As we sit on the waitlist, I was just told by a parent whose child was admitted that the family received an email saying that the headmaster of Groton is leaving. Does anyone have any more information? Although we know the chances of getting off the waitlist are small, I would like to know if there are issues at the school that should make me worry.</p>
<p>I will refer you to my answer on the main page- ther eis no issue- Rick Commons was offered an amazing position close to his wife’s family, and back at a school where he began his career and he took it- ( its in LA to boot)

<p>Yes he is, at the end of the 2013 Academic Year. We will be sorry to see him go, he is an amazing leader, a kind and erudite man and has been such an approachable and wonderful Headmaster. HW is lucky to have him</p>
<p>We did four years with my oldest under Hudnut. He was very, very good, as in Rick has huge shoes to fill. Best of luck!</p>
