GSP Chances....low GPA (big upward trend) decent rank/SAT's

So I've heard GSP is for kids with decent GPA's but lower SAT's...what about the other way around?

GPA: ~3.2 UW (only Sciences/Languages/Maths/English/Social Studies classes) ~3.25 (with everything else)
(~3.7, and 3.9 UW for Junior Year Semesters)
Rank: ~top 8-9%
SAT: 1380 (740 CR, 640 Math, 670 Writing)
SAT Subject Tests: 710 US History, 730 Biology

Most rigorous course load for school...and good EC's/work experience with several leadership positions...

I've heard it's for kids that they want at NYU for some reason, but are a little weak in one area, such as your self.
I don't know if you'll get in, but if you have solid everything else, there may be a chance.

Hm. Is your school really tough or is it full of underachievers? Your rank is nice for such a low GPA.

yea thats a really high rank... I have a 3.8 UW and I dont even think I am in the top 10%.

I just thought of something, I'm not saying that you won't get in, but:

It seems like everyone who posts stats is told they will be admitted, if the people who post stats are an accurate reflection of the applicant pool then that means that no one really has a good chance, because the majority of the applicant pool is qualified for admission.

Just a thought.

I like your thought and I thought about it too but I don't think people who post stats are totally accurate, like how good their essay or recommendations are, and I think in general most students who are on CC tend to be more "qualified" then the average applicant.
