GU Subject Tests

Hi, I know this has been discussed in the past, but will not submitting subject tests to GU “make-or-break” my chances? I spoke with the head of admissions at Penn who told me that subjects tests aren’t as important in the decision process as they were a few years ago. When I spoke with a rep at GU, she smiled and gave me the lame “it will only help you” answer. I don’t want to waste my time if I have no chance without them.

Just as a reference…

School: McDonough
ACT: 31, 32 ss
GPA: 3.93 / 4.32
Rank: Top 5%
AP’s: 9
Great business-oriented extracurriculars
President of NHS, CSF, business club, so on…
Almost finished with a minor in Computer Sciences from NYU
Personally know a professor at McDonough who can give a rec.

Please let me know if you guys have any recent info on the matter (not who got in with/without from 5 years ago). Thanks!

I think not submitting subject tests will hurt you. I think Georgetown is the kind of place that when they ask for something, they want to see it. It is one factor in the decision making process and I sort of think, if you don’t submit them, you are hiding something.
