Subject Test Scores

Hi,

I’m a rising senior and GT (McDonough) is one of my top choices. I have a strong app (36 ACT/4.0 UW), but my subject tests are bad (Math 2- 690, US- 690, Spanish-550). I got a 5 on the APUSH exam, so I was expecting a higher score although the subject test was really hard. Math was challenging, but I was still disappointed with my score and my brain was fried once I got into Spanish. I plan to take Literature and Math in August, but if I don’t do well on those, how will these scores affect my chances of admission? Also, is there any way I could avoid sending in my Spanish score? Thanks

No. Georgetown requires all scores.

If you score higher on your August tests, then your 3 top scores are the ones that are considered.

Plan to do well on them. Ask again once you have scores; don’t stress about what might not happen. Put your energy into prepping for the tests. Good luck.

A 690 on Math 2 puts you in the low 40th percentile. The other subject tests are around there. You’ll definitely want to beat the 50th percentile if you want to have a good shot. Good luck!
