GU Transfer Fall 2010

Does anyone know when the online application will be posted for transfer students?

Thanks

It has been posted I believe.

I see the paper application for GU transfer students. can you please direct me to the online application? I cannot seem to find it. Thank you.

They told me on the phone that it will be available by the end of January. I don’t know how much longer they are going to make us wait. They themselves say that the online applications are preferred.

So much for the end of January, haha.

do people want to post their stats?
I go to GMU freshman with a current gpa of 3.6.
I have an incredibly large amount of extra curriculars and community service as well leadership within high school and at GMU.
Went to a top rated public school, but sadly had a 3.3 gpa and SAT scores that I do not even remember but they were not good.
My cousin is also a faculty member, so maybe that will help??
I know this is a big reach but I figure I should just try. Also I really want to apply for SFS, but I feel like this may be a bad idea and eliminate any chance.
Should I even bother?

I called Georgetown today and they said that the online application for transfer students has been “significantly delayed.” They said that I should go ahead and submit the paper form by mail. Considering that the whole Georgetown system seems outdated to me, this unusual delay is giving me second thoughts on whether I should even go there.

“Significantly delayed?” Really? Ughhh yesterday they told me via e-mail that it should be up by the end of this week.

^really? Because the person I talked to - whoever it was, I do not know - said that he did not have a specific time frame by which it would be done. Now I cannot decide whether to do it on paper, or wait till the end of the week as you state.

Hi I’m thinking of applying as a transfer student to Georgetown. I’ll be a junior if I get admitted. When I apply, do they still look at the SAT’s even though I’ll be a junior?

Thank you

To ladygirl: Yes, SAT scores are still looked at for junior transfers. But admissions will not put as much weight on them as they would for a sophomore transfer.

Online app is up.

Three questions I need answered: (I will be eternally grateful)

What is the difference between Home Address and Mailing Address? Well, I know what home address is, obviously, but should I put my current dorm address as my mailing address?

On the college section, it asks for dates attended from and attended thru. What do I put for attended thru? The last day of school this semester? Leave it blank? I don’t know.

Also on the college section, it asks for credits earned. Do I put in current number of credits earned (disregarding spring semester)? The total I expect to earn by the end of spring semester? Do I include AP credits?

Sorry for the overload of questions, but the admissions office is closed due to this HORRIBLE weather here on the east coast.

Thank you so much!

Hi, i am wondering the above ^^^ as well and having a couple of questions:

-do we have to go through collegeboard to resend sat scores if we already applied before?

-if I sent in a paper application for part one, does that mean i cant submit via the online application for part 2?

thanks and good luck

the online application is now up!

Are we supposed to have received like a tracking ID or anything?

does anyone have an idea when we will be getting?
