I'm an international student from canada and I'm very new to the process so I have no clue what "stats" i need to have a legitimate chance at the schools i've chosen. Please, someone who has experience, tell me how i stack up so I can have some kind of assurance.

Schools applied for:

I'm not going to list all my other minor ones...

Thanks for chancing me. I will try my best to chance you back!

R U for real?? If your scores are actually that good, combined with your ECs and transcript you should have a very strong chance at all those schools… even especially because you’re canadian - since expectations for int’ls are generally lower… a 2350 would be considered one of the top scores nationally… which area are you from?

Columbia-high match
UCLA-match
Berkeley-match
Brown-match
CIT-high match (because you seem like a math based person)
Cornell-match
Dartmouth-low reach
Johns Hopkins-match (perfect for you because JH is research based)
Stanford-reach (just because they look at different things)
UPenn-mid reach
Yale-reach (its a reach for everyone)

you have a chance at every single one of them!!! good luck!!! i feel stupid now haha

hmmm well I think your scores and ECs are brilliant. first ur EC shows a really distinct direction of what you want to pursue in college and also ur scores can get u into the best places in the US.and I also see that ur courses are really rigorous which is a good thing.

I would say u have a really good chance to Columbia, UCLA, Berkeley, Brown, Cornell, UPenn, and Dartmouth. but Yale is definitely a reach, also stanford. I would say u have a great chance for JH also since uve done a lot of research

I agree with everyone else. Most of the schools are high matches except for the top schools (Yale, Stanford, and the like). You are going to get into a very good school!

Wow some posters are so dumb. Expectations are much higher for internationals, especially if you’re applying for aid.

Your scores are good, EC’s are vague and don’t really stand out. National gold medal for research, what does that even mean? Yale/Stanford high reaches, Dartmouth/UPenn/Columbia/Brown/Cornell reaches and the rest a mix of matches, high matches and low reaches.

^ if expectations are much higher for intls, how could anyone possibly hope to compete against all the domestic kids? Intls generally have lower SAT scores, so WITHIN that pool, a 2350 would be a better score compared to a 2350 in say California or NY… besides, at the need-blind schools, it wouldn’t matter if u apply for aid…
