Guaranteed Transfer for CAS?

Hi everyone,

I am REALLY banking on AT LEAST a waitlist for Cornell next week. Do you think it is too late to send an email to admissions saying that I am potentially interested in a guaranteed transfer option if it isn’t possible to admit me this year? I want to demonstrate to them that I REALLY want to attend and will even be willing to wait another year if it means I will definitely be given the opportunity to attend. My college counselor didn’t think it was a good idea to send such a letter because it might irritate admissions, but I have received so many rejections this week, I am really desperate. What do you guys think? Will it make a difference?

Thanks!

Also, is guaranteed transfer offered at CAS? Because I’ve only heard about that option being offered for ILR or CALS.

They do offer guaranteed transfer for CAS (http://as.cornell.edu/transfer-option-information) but most likely they’ve already made their decisions and emailing won’t do anything. You’ll know soon enough; just hang in there another week!!

@Ranza123 Thanks!

Also, is it possible to get a guaranteed transfer option after being waitlisted? Any insights on that?
