I was offered guaranteed transfer to bu and I have never heard of this before. What is the main difference between this and the wait list, and why would I not be put on the waiting list? Which one correlates with higher standards?
Last year no one was admitted from the waitlist.
I was offered guaranteed transfer as well and after doing some research I’m pretty sure it is better than being on the waitlist. I found some stats saying in 2016 3,500 people were on the waitlist, but only 2 ended up getting off of it. This makes me think that guaranteed transfer is better because you know you can still go to BU you just have to wait a year while if you were waitlisted you probably wont be able to go
Is it a true “guaranteed” transfer or a “conditional” transfer ?
They said guaranteed transfer in the admissions letter, the only conditions were to do 2 semesters at an accredited university and have at least a 3.0 GPA
Those are very reasonable conditions. Some schools require specific courses.
