<p>Hello, all. I am taking my first SAT tom.. I am somewhat nervous as I have only done a few practice tests and vocab study to prepare. I just wanted to ask what their scoring policy is? Is there still a guessing penalty? Please respond ASAP thanks</p>
<p>There is no penalty for guessing - there is a penalty for guessing wrong. ;-)</p>
<p>On the SAT I you get one point for every correct answer, and you lose 1/4 point for every wrong answer (except for the grid-ins). Omitted questions don’t carry an additional penalty the way a wrong answer does.</p>
