What's up guys, I'm currently a High School senior, and I'm probably going to apply to Drexel. I generally like the school (on paper, going to visit in a few weeks) and I feel good about getting into it, but I do have a concern. The fact that it's 57% male.

For current/former students, is the gender differential that noticeable? Thanks.

Hey buddy,
Honestly, the difference is negligible. If I didn’t know the statistic, I would probably guess that it’s 50/50. While Drexel has some programs that lean towards male majority (I.e engineering), there are also a lot of female-heavy programs (Fashion, Interior Design, Bio, Psych)

Even in engineering I feel like there’s a decent balance. 57/43 is nothing to fret about.

I attended fall orenitaion with my Daughter. She commented on the number of males compared to other schools she visited. ( I noticed as well.) Her dorm hall is 75 % male. (She signed up for all female hall, BTW) You should really visit the school, especially the program/college of your interest. For a big U, Drexel’s professors and deans were surprisingly welcoming. Despite the late night big screen (48") video game fest (and associated odors) next door, D really likes her dorm, her classes, philadelphia, and her new friends.
