Guys I am an international..Help!!

<p>I literally have no idea how i will fill the common application form. So I am freaking out since the new version is to be out on August. I have many queries and some of them are listed:</p>

<p>1.No guidance counselors: Can you believe that. My high school is no.1 in my district and yet no int'l services available.Maybe because there aren't anyone and weren't anyone applying to US in the past. I am the first.. :D. So how the hell am I gonna make the school officials fill the form. Can I do that part in behalf of them? Or should I apply through paper mail?</p>

<p>2.Letter of Recommendations: How am I gonna send the letter of recommendations from my teachers? Should they be printed in letterheads, stamped, scanned and uploaded in pdf or jpg format? Or they should be send by physical courier mail? I literally have no idea on this. Please help :(</p>

<p>3.Extracurriculars: How are extracurriculars listed? Are they typed/uploaded in .doc or what? How many ECs are allowed? Should I send any certificates to prove that my Ecs are authentic?</p>

<p>4.Essays: How many essays are required? I heard there is topic given to write essays for. Cannot I submit my personal essay? Is common app essay alternative to personal college essays? </p>

<p>5.Fee waivers: Since we internationals are not allowed to fill NACAC what is to be submitted? Will a simple letter work? How to send the fee waiver letters? Electronically or snail mail?</p>

<p>Right now I want to know only these. I cannot remember other coz I am freaking out. Help!!</p>

<li>My school does not have a GC either, but the VP handles all college buisness. Im sure the school administration knows the process</li>

<li>You can list 5 EC’s on the common app. Im not sure about certificates, im interested in the answer to that as well</li>
<li>The prompts for the new common app have already been released. You have to answer one. You may also have to write.extra essays depending on the college found in the college supplement.</li>
<li>Not sure, you’d have to look on the website of the college ur applying to</li>

<p>Not even the principal of my school knows to use the Common App. I am totally devastated. Can I get help from GC of other schools?</p>

<p>Ok, im gonna guess u live in India. Do u guys have counselors? Like people outside ur school who take money to guide u. A friend of mine got intona canadian university using a counselor he had to pay for cuz his school doesnt really do foreign applications either</p>

<p>Nope, I am from Nepal. I hope I will make it without GC. I have requested Principal to let me sit with him while filling the common app…</p>

<p>Which universities are u applying to? And im sure there are online guides to fill the common app. Maybe you and ur principal could sit together with the guide open so u know how to fill it out and he knows how to send everything in.</p>
