Guys that like female singers

<p>Are there any guys on here that like songs that are sung by women and that are written for a more or less female audience?</p>

<p>I'm talking Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, etc.</p>

<p>IMO, it seems like society says males should not like these singers and their songs but it is perfectly okay for girls to like male artists and their songs.</p>

<p>I'm not ashamed to admit that I love these artists. Especially Taylor Swift.
Any other guys want to join me in "Guys who like female artists and aren't ashamed to admit it"?</p>

<p>I don’t know maybe its just the guys I know, but I know that none of them would ever admit to liking Taylor Swift, etc.</p>

<p>My brother listens to Taylor Swift and sings along to Love Song. He has also read the Twilight series and liked it.</p>

<p>I like a lot of female singers. But all the ones mentioned in OP suck and I wouldn’t be caught dead listening to.</p>

<p>I like Shakira and Rhianna, and OMGosh I can not forget Diana Ross.</p>

<p>I wouldn’t say those are strictly for female audiences though.</p>

<p>Paramore is my all time favorite band led by a female.
The Fire Restart comes in at second. <– (That one’s actually part screamo, but the head singer that’s female has an amazing voice. Listen to “Part 2: A Shade of Red”)
Renfue is also pretty chill, the head singer sounds a bit like hayley, despite their bands having different styles.
Hey Monday’s Cassadee Pope is just epic.
And solo-wise, Demi Lovato, despite being a disney contract-holder, is just brimming with potential and maturity beyond the reputations of her peers.
Love all these female singers, and there are probably alot of other guys out there that do too. =D</p>

<p>I lol’d at that description of Demi Lovato. I get what your saying, though. And I will admit to liking Party in the USA by Miley Cyrus. Doesn’t help that we play it on a loop constantly in yearbook class. The teacher is really starting to get ****ed.</p>

<p>So I looked at my top played artists… and the top 40 are all male singers. Kelly Clarkson and Nikka Costa are the first females. That spans five years of listening though and isn’t representative of my current taste. In the last year Garbage, Cher, Beyonce, Colbie Caillat, and Fleetwood Mac are also on the list.</p>

<p>okay, so i have these 2 guy friends…they don’t know each other…they BOTH either have or at one point have had an obsession with both lady gaga & britney spears. oh, & they’re both straight [as far as i know].</p>

<p>I do kind of like Taylor Swift, but it’s more for sentimental reasons than because I think her music is particularly good. It’s not bad though. The one female singer I really like is Natalie Merchant, I don’t know why but I really like her voice. She’s kind of old though, compared to all the other people being discussed and probably none of you have ever heard of her. I also like Sarah Bareilles though. She’s a lot like a female Ben Folds, and I love Ben Folds.</p>
