Is it strange that guy likes song that is sung by a woman? For instance, Avril Lavigne, Kelly Clarkson, and so on. Actually I like those kind of songs..
I'm not sure what Americans think because I came here about an year ago..
So I just wonder what songs you like.

Actually I always wonder the same thing all the time, but I'am not a dude so... I love Justin Timbelakes' " sexyback" and "My love" right now.

i actually do think its more of an unspoken "forbidden" genre for men. I know plenty of girls that listen to that, but guys that flaunt liking it? No. It's fine to say you enjoy it but the guys I hear saying that are usually talking about a specific song and also are pretty into a more "Accepted" genre such as rock or hip hop. Yet, I urge you to not to pay attention to this b/c its stupid. You should listen to what you want.

The Bangles were the greatest female band of all time, hands down, no exceptions. Susanna Hoffs is a bombshell.

I think it's possible for guys to like songs sung by women. It's just that they don't sing along with the lyrics like girls do.

Panglossian: I love you, man. No one at school has even heard of them.

I'm a girl, but I love the 80s stuff, esp. classic rock. People don't believe me when I say that, but oh well. Indie music=awesome. Top 40 is something that has grown on me.

Where I live, it's not that music sung by Kelly Clarkson, etc., is the forbidden fruit, but guys, for the most part, just like either rap or "sk8tr rock" (which is, IMO, pretty stupid). No one really follows a happy medium.

.-_-.

Then there are the Go-go's, & Kim Wilde, & Nena, & Elizabeth Daily...

Ya, the only guys I know that listen to Kelly Clarkson, Christin Aguilera, and the like are gay

I generally like the songs played on XM's 20 on 20.

Lately, my personal favorites (which vary from time to time), have been:

So Sick- Ne-Yo
Sexy Love- Ne-Yo
Too Little, Too Late- JoJo
Unwritten- Natasha Bedingfield
Promiscuous (sp)
Doing Too Much

I'm a guy and I don't think I listen to any songs sung by women. Fact is, most awesome music (aka classic rock/early 90s rock/punk) is sung by guys.

Eternal Flame by the Bangles will always have a special place in my heart.

Enter Sandman, Master of Puppets, etc., etc., etc. - Metallica

For Those About to Rock, TNT, Dirty Deeds, etc. - AC/DC

Plush - STP

Cocaine - Eric Clapton

Ironman - Black Sabbath

Hot for Teacher, Why Can't this be Love, etc. - Van Halen

Bark at the Moon, etc. - Ozzy

45, etc. - Shinedown

Freebird, Simple Man, etc. - Lynyrd Skynyrd

And much much more. I only listed some of my favorite songs from some of my favorite artists, this is barely the beginning of the tip of the iceberg.

Screw pop.

I'm a girl but Nickelback is seriously like the best band ever... for guys or girls.

Far away is the best song I have heard in a long time.

BTW my stepdad listens to Kelly Clarkson (haha) and is not gay... but whatever.

Lush was a legit 90's alternative band, all women.

Coughs - Fright Makes Right

If you like songs that are sung by a woman that's alright. For me personally that isn't weird because that's your taste.

1<3 Evanescence...come on don't hate!!!;)
