anyone have opinions on GW for business? I really love the school and campus, but I'm a bit unsure about the business program. I'm mostly concerned about job prospects and internship opportunities. I know dc probably has a lot of internships but I feel like most of them are at non profits or government agencies. Do major companies give internships/recruit on campus? Would a GW degree be respected if you want to work for a financial services firm on wall st. (Deloitte, KPMG, Morgan Stanley, etc)? I'm between GW and Northeastern and while I think Northeastern may be better for job/internship placement I still love GW. I just want to make sure I wont end up jobless/working for nothing at a nonprofit at the end of my 4 years!

First, Deloitte and KPMG are not firms on the street, they are part of the Big 4 and if you read TaxGuys post on “everything you wanted to know or should know about accounting” you can basically graduate from any accredited AACSB school and land a Big 4 job (as long as you have a good GPA).

You should check GWU’s career placement and the companies that recruit at GWU’s business school, I’m sure there are quite a few companies that visit the school since its in the DC area.

In my opinion Northeastern has the better business school and better opportunity for internships. I believe the students there are required to have an internship as a junior or senior, making their business school one of the highest for internship placement.
