My recs were pretty awesome, my counselor let me read them

if you have any more questions about admission into the program, I would be glad to answer them.

great job. I got rejected to that program with a 1500. :-( that's a really solid program with a stellar med school. good luck, man.

how important are recs firstly? i figure u had a pretty good interview. maybe the interview will compensate for my own recs (which will be from pretty good to mediocre to apathetic)

but first you gotta get the interview! =

I thought my interview went well. . .I guess they didn't. It's so sad. Oh, open wounds.

I wouldnt underestimate the importance of recs because they can make you stand apart from the rest of the crowd, even if your numbers are nothing phenomenal. They like to hear specific examples of things you have done, like "he organized a charity softball event in order to support the scholarship fund that honors a deceased classmate", rather than just "he cares about others." If you can, give your reccomenders a list of things you would like for them to mention about you, such as your volunteer work, extracurriculars, and awards. Also, stop by yo chat with them often, so they can write a lot about your personality. good luck!
