Gwu Gpa

Does anybody know George Washington Univerisity's average freshman admission GPA? It's not reported in their common data set and I can't seem to find the information anywhere else.

Peculiar, considering it's one of the most important admission factors.

Maybe it's difficult for them, since so many students come from NY, where the gpa's are often off the 100 scale instead of the 4.0 scale, I don't know. I agree it is puzzling.

But class rank seems to be what makes the difference (the two go hand in hand anyway). They have about 63% in the top 10%, and about 88% of the class comes from the top 25% of their hs graduating class.

Well, that's unfortunate since I'm first in my class, but it is only comprised of four students.

Wow, gwilde, you are valedictorian, in the top 10%, and in the top 25% of your class all at one time ! Good job.

Yes, it is definitely a great feat :).

This information is from the website: "65% of our freshman class rank in the top 10% of their high school class, while 92% rank in the top 25%. " At our HS in CT GW seems to only accept students with 3.5 UW GPA and above, but of course, stats from different high schools will vary.

Well, I do have a 3.5 UW GPA but my weighted GPA is only 3.6 because a mere two AP classes were available.

I got in and I had approx. 3.8 GPA
