Tufts University has better International Relations rankings, and has higher SAT scores. It is slightly cheaper than GWU, but gives less financial aid. The "Ivy League safety school" connotation is also unappetizing.

George Washington University has a better location for internships, and a better name IMO, but has lower SAT scores and slightly lower rankings. It is more expensive, but gives more generous FA.

Price aside, what are your opinions?
Which is better for the liberal arts / business / and international relations?
Grad placement to Top10 MBAs?

IMHO when it comes to internships it is hard to beat D.C. and the GWU experience. Don’t get me wrong, Tufts is a great school with a great reputation, but, if you want to major in International Affairs, GWU and Georgetown should be high on your list. Be prepared, however, you may get held up on your way to class someday because the President is giving an Afghanistan policy speech in Lisner Auditorium. As for the rankings… some of that is due to the fact that GWU has a high number of “part time professors” and that hurts GW’s ranking. They are part time because many of them have full time jobs at the State Department, the CIA and many other government agencies. GW considers these people to be a “plus” because they bring “real world” experience to the classroom.
