GWU VS WASH U ST LOUIS

Hey guys, I'm a transfer student accepted to both Wash U St. Louis and GWU. I've already committed to Wash U due to the deadline, but I am still interested in GW and might be willing to lose my deposit.

The city is very important to me and I know DC wipes St. Louis out of the water. I am also concerned with my quality of education though. I am not looking into Business or Pre-med which is what WUSTL is famous for. I am interested in Communications and international relations. Does anyone know how GW matches up to Wash U on that?

I know it's only for one year, but I don't want to end up living on the Mount Vernon campus because I am a transfer. Are transfer students basically going to have to live there due to lack of housing on Foggy Bottom, or are there beds reserved for transfers? Any other input on GW VS WUSTL would be very helpful as I have to decide officially very soon. Thanks <3

Stick with WashU. It’s better overall institution, with a academically superior student body, higher quality go life and a more beautiful campus. GW remains in the shadow of Georgetown, and recently took a bullet to it’s reputation due to the SAT scandal. WashU also has a campus in DC so that its students can land internships in DC, so being in St. Louis wouldn’t be much of a con for you.

I’ve also been researching about housing for GW. Apparently it’s either a hit or miss. In 2012, they assigned all the transfers to Lafayette ( which is on the foggy bottom campus), but last year the transfer students were scattered. So it really just depends.
