Hey everyone: I'm really interested in going to Georgetown, and I am a running/gym fanatic. Any current Hoyas/parents/other students know about the conditions of the gyms on Georgetown's campus? Thanks!

This is an excellent question, I’m curious about this too. I heard once that they have a nice gym there?

The gym (Yates) is alright, but not what I would call great. Have a look at [Facilities: Yates Field House: Campus Recreation Center](<a href=“Recreation | Georgetown University”>Recreation | Georgetown University)

I go to Yates enough, but the cardio equipment is lacking. The elliptical machines are a few years old, and a several of the bikes and ellipticals are ancient. They are adding some strange new treadmills, but going to Yates really feels like a dungeon to me. The weights are okay, but I wouldn’t call the gym nice.

If you want purely running, when the weather is nice out, DC has great running paths. I have a friend that runs to the White House/Mall area at least twice a week when it is nice out.
