I was recently accepted into H.O.M.E (Hopkins Overnight Multicultural Experience) and I was wondering what advantages come with attending the event? I know that we are allowed to tour the campus but what other types of activities are we involved in when we are there. Also does it help boost your application to attend?

I hosted a few times for HOME, and I can tell you right now there is no impact whatsoever on your application. Admissions plays no role in the event; it’s really just an opportunity to see the school from an insider’s perspective.

Well, it might play a role if you do a 4:00 mile time with coaches watching, but save that…

the only advantage I can see it give you is that Hopkins will see that you were interested enough to visit it for an overnight program
