^^yeah, a lot of ppl from PEA didn’t even get into AN ivy and like no stanfords and a few MITs majority no. [<- you can figure out what that says, don’t pick at the syntax]

at exeter matriculation wasn’t up to it’s normal par, but the college counseling office does encourage people to look outside the ivies and go to a school that offers exactly what they’re looking for. perhaps an ivy has the best architectural engineering program, or nuclear chemistry or something, but you want a different size school, or hate being in the city. i don’t think the 8 ivies can offer everything everyone wants.

however, the school with the largest amount of exonians attending was harvard
and i say again, other schools may offer better scholarship opportunities (especially for sports), and exeter is 50% fa, so ppl need it.
andover (ranked 3rd forbes) is known for having a slightly “less academic” student body in the circuit, and can perhaps afford to go to all the schools they get into. why do think ppl have safety schools AND financial safety schools nowdays?

Fame. Like it or not, a better-known school attracts more, better students and more qualified teachers. So those students do better [by their better education and because colleges and employers may recognize the name] and can donate more to the school, which in turn contributes to the quality of the school.

GLADCHEMMS!
i love it!
