I'm doing my Goldwater essay and I need to know whether or not they count articles for the essay length (as it is restricted to 600 words). I would also like an example of a winning Goldwater essay if that is at all possible. What are you guys writing about?</p>
<p>Also, should one submit a bibliography?</p>

<p>Last time I checked, the Microsoft Word's "word count" option does count articles as words. Keep that in mind, just to be safe.</p>
<p>Also, if you use any references, it would be a good idea to list them at the end of your essay in the bibliography section.</p>
