Half of employed college grads

<p>I wonder how many of them got their degree from for profit schools.</p>

<p>When kids go into debt and parents are leveraging their retirement for tuition, the saying quoted as a response to the article, “happiness does not buy money” really hits home.</p>

<p>Part of it is that many employers are taking advantage of the recession and posting largely inflated job requirements - such as requiring a bachelor’s degree for an administrative assistant. Either they figure it’s a good way to cut down the applicant pool, which may be overwhelming for HR, or they figure why not get a BA if they can for the same price they would’ve hired an AA 3 years ago?</p>

<p>When I got my first real job many years ago our AA had a history degree from Columbia. Pretty common really for AA to have a 4 yr degree.</p>
