So I go to a very difficult Private High School in Cleveland Ohio. I hope to make my way into the media industry someday and I firmly believe this school would be very beneficial in that regard. Here is aprt of my resume and thank you very much:

GPA: 3.9
ACT: 27 (30 EN, 28 MA, 25 SC, 24 CR, 10 Essay)
SAT: 1910 (570 CR, 660 MA, 680 WR, 10 Essay)
AP: US History (4) English Language (4)
SAT II: US History 640

Thank you very much. Honesty is appreciated and if you have any ways of improving my resume, please tell me how i can do so. Thanks.

You seem to be doing well so far and have a strong gpa and what sound like great extracurriculars. However, Hamilton will see that you haven’t taken many AP courses so make sure you communicate to them that you were out of school for a month and advised not to take the AP courses. I would retake the ACT and SAT, or even retake the one that you feel you can perform better on. You should also take some AP courses your senior year to show that you’re challenging yourself in school. Also, Hamilton has a really cool testing policy that allows you to submit three test scores(they can be AP, IB, SAT, ACT etc) and they will use those test scores in your admission process. So I would suggest you send in your AP scores, SAT scores, and ACT scores. Hamilton will pick the best three out of those test scores and use them in your admission process. It’s probably a good idea for you since you did well on the AP tests you took and it will show them you mastered those subject areas without taking the classes. You can find more info on their testing policy at [Apply - Requirements - Hamilton College](Apply - Testing Policy - Hamilton College)

Hamilton really values writing, so make sure when you write your essay that you spend a lot of time on it and really shine through your essay. That’s a given for all colleges, but especially important for Hamilton. Hamilton also does admissions interviews so you should definitely do one of those if at all possible. If not, they also offer a video interview option. I didn’t do the video interview, so I can’t really give you any more information regarding that, but I know a lot of people do the video interview.

You seem like you’d have a good chance at Hamilton if you improve your test scores, shine in your essay, and explain to them why you didn’t take many AP or honors courses. Hamilton is a difficult school to get into, but if you take challenging courses and really work on your application you have a good chance.

Hey, I gave the video Interview as i am from Pakistan (international Student). It was a very good experience and questions were very straight forward. As @amwowoah said, Hamilton really values Writing alot so be prepared to write excellent essays and supplements Good luck
