Just as mentioned in the title,
what college do you consider to be better?
Hamilton or Vassar?
Can you guys state your reason?
Hamilton because @merc81 goes there. Perhaps he graduated already - I’m not sure about that.
Vassar: Humanities and fine arts veneer laid over sick features like a beautiful library, historic observatory and new science building. This school seems determined to get better every year. The gender imbalance, though real, does not differ significantly from the national collegiate average. A convenient train ride from New York City. Malcolm Gladwell loves it.
Hamilton: Benefits from the curricular, architectural, spatial and, to some extent, cultural legacy of having once been two colleges of different emphases and characteristics. Academics are balanced across sciences and math, humanities and fine arts and social sciences. Woodsy, Adirondack feel, but not far from suburban amenities. Former fraternity houses are now beautiful residence halls.
Both great schools. Very different social environments. Surely one feels more like your peeps, no?
