Hamilton Transfer Acceptance Rate?

<p>Hello all - </p>

<p>I have a student who is devestated at having been rejected from Hamilton. Great grades/SATs/ECs - just another student caught in the tsunami of application this year.</p>

<p>He is hoping to transfer from his third choice school after one semester. Does anyone know whether this is probably, or at least possible?</p>

<p>I've read that about 30 Hamilton Freshmen were offered admission for January 2008, which would put a further crimpy on available houseing for this residential campus.</p>

<p>Does anyone know anything about this? No guessing please!</p>

<p>Hamilton usually doesn't take Spring transfers; they didn't this year. Most schools want to see a years worth of courses before they accept a transfer. If this student was rejected as a freshman, Hamilton most likely will not accept him until they have seen him have a good year at another school.</p>
