Soo I'm choosing between Hamilton and Lehigh, and I have no idea what to do. I'm going into science and I'm planning to go on a pre-med track. Which school do you think would be better?

Also, thoughts on people, academics, social life, name recognition in the job world, diversity, etc.? I'm really having trouble deciding, so if people could help...that'd be greaaaat. Also, Hamilton is offering me a really nice scholarship, whereas Lehigh's package is okay but not as great.

Hamilton. Top-notch liberal arts school with a new science building and open curriculum. Friendly culture with student-focus with strong professor-student ratio. The alumni network is so strong and supportive compared to the pretentiousness and elitism of some other schools. If you are going into engineering, then maybe, just maybe Lehigh. Otherwise, premed, pre-law or pre-mba, Hamilton has the edge. My opinion and many others.

Apples and oranges. While a small university, Lehigh is not a LAC. If you’re looking for a job after graduation instead of grad school, go to Lehigh. Employers love Lehigh. Also, Lehigh has had some race problems in the past. Greek rules on campus, there are many more men (almost all white) than women (in case you happen to be a guy). It’s just a different atmosphere. Don’t get me wrong. Lehigh is an outstanding, highly selective, academic institution. Culturally, however, it has issues. They’ve been trying to fix the “diversity” challenges on campus but tradition can be really hard to break. If you’re a white guy from the northeast, dying to immerse yourself in hardcore frat culture, and politically conservative, you’ll love Lehigh.
