I just wanted to wish you all well in these last few days of waiting and to tell you that if you don’t get in, all is not lost. My son applied ED in 2016, was deferred and ultimately rejected. He had 3.98 UW/4.8 W GPA, 1500+ SAT, 3 season varsity athlete and captain, 2nd in state in debate, student government, social justice club, 2 jobs, etc. and both my husband and I went to Penn and were very active alumni. It was crushing for him and our family. I’ve come to realize that there are just too many qualified kids out there and being from the Northeast doesn’t help. My son ended up at Emory and is successful and happy. It all worked out in the end and it probably will for you too. Good luck!
Thanks for the warm whishes
I’ve come to view it this way. Your Stats get you the Job Interview. Your Interview / Essay, might get you the Job. In the end there are more qualified applicants than there are positions to be filled, some of it just comes down to Luck / Chance. Best Wishes to all who applied.
