Hard to decide which college I need attend

Please give your suggestion about which college I should go this fall:

Tulane Honor with 24000/yr for premed

UT Austin Biology/pre-med

NYU stern

USC Marshall International Business (National Merit Scholar for half tution)

Wellesely (biology, premed)

Barnard (biology, premed)

based off what...what are your likes/dislikes? Do you prefer warm/hot weather, don't mind cold weather, whether you prefer pre-med or business?
Is prestige a big deal to you or not etc.

Wellesely if you don't mind being around women all the time

If you wanna do business def. Stern, and yah I second Wellesely for premed.

My CC friends, many thanks for your suggestion. Now, I need select one college from NYU Stern and Wellesley College. Right now, I really want to go to Stern Business School. But hard to say no to Wellesley. Still need a little bit time to think about my future career-business or medicine.

Barnard or USC. Barnard students are permitted to take classes at Columbia, which is just across the street. Half tuition scholarship for international business at USC is hard to pass up unless you qualify for substantial financial aid elsewhere or are from a wealthy family willing to pay full costs for any of your schools. Wellesley students can cross register at MIT and, I think, Harvard, but it's a fairly long bus ride of at least 45 minutes. New Orleans is too dangerous & Tulane has cut a number of majors since Hurricane Katrina. Rand McNally, or a similiar organization, just released its new list of the most dangerous U.S. cities and New Orleans was number one on the list. Question: Did Texas offer you a full ride as a NMS or did you get disqualified by listing USC as your first choice with the NMC?

Well, I got into Vanderbilt pre-med (biology) program today. Penn and Rice put me into waitinglist. Is anyone able to comment on my schools again? Really appreciate!

Which one I should go this fall? I am also very disappointed to waitinglists on the 4 good schools. But because I have already had so many choices. I decided to decline the waiting (I know the light of chance is so dim).

Hello, icy9ff8,

Thank you very much for your suggestion on my college selections. I also like Barnard and USC very much. Both of them are good schools. However, I have to make choice between Barnard and Wellseley if I want to study premed, NYU Stern and USC Marshall if I want to learn business. Now, I have Vandy premed in my hand. Making the decison is more difficult.

About the UT finacial aid package, I can't answer you right now because they need me provide more information about my US citizenship to make final decision on the "money things". I just mailed them a copy of my US passport to them. I will let you know if I get any replying from them.

Thanks, Folks. I still have a month to have fun with this selection.
