okay...so ...i read the 6th book 2 summers ago when it came out...but for somereason right at this moment, im wondering whether or not Snape is a good guy or not..
because...
1. he could be a bad guy cuz he killed dumbledore
2. he could be a good guy, cuz at the end dumbledore said "severus, please" so he might have been asking snape to kill him so that draco would not be a killer

At this point, it could go either way... But because of many friends trusting Severus Snape... I sort of trust him... I guess we'll eventually find out ;)

I think he will turn out good. In the book there was a part when Harry overheard Snape and Dumbledore talking...something about Snape refusing some kind of order by dumbledore...then the whole "severus, please"...it all seems like it's been set up.

Snape is my favorite character in the HP books. He reminds me of Anakin/Darth Vader in the Star Wars series. Dark, unpredictible, powerful, opportunistic, but ultimately, he makes the right decision.

I believe Snape is good. I saw all these hints, all these arguments from people, but I was still undecided until someone pointed this out to me -

When Harry is giving Dumbledore the potion, it says something like, "Hating himself, repulsed by what he was doing..." And then when Snape kills Dumbledore, it says there was "a look of hatred and revulsion" on his face. Harry appeared to be harming Dumbledore, but Dumbledore had asked Harry to do it. I think the use of the same words hate and revulsion is drawing a strong parallel between the scenarios.

I'm for both. I think that, much like Draco, he is quite evil, but he does have a side of him that can be good when he needs to be. If that makes any sense.

I don't think he's innately evil... but I guess I just don't want him to be. I think there's much more to the situation then we know that'll be cleared up...

granted, I'm still convinced Sirius is alive, so I may not be the best one to ask. =P
