@bestrfy: of course. They won’t “miss” you. If they can’t reach you there, they’ll call your school. Please don’t worry at missed phone calls
@polkadot1997 Only Harvard knows. Anyone here would only be guessing.
As a parent of a wait listed child, I wish that this would end! For some reason she can’t let go of her dream of going to Harvard and even though she has a huge merit-based scholarship from a top-20 school she just can’t move on from the dream of going to Harvard. As a parent I am torn, this is her dream and could be a $300,000 dollar reality for me (due to my income she wouldn’t qualify for any $ at H). I wish all of you success, wherever you end up, I went to a large state school (full ride) and do well. It just breaks my heart to see her not embracing the school that is showing her all the love she deserves.
Anyone have any idea as to when we might hear from them again? The last wave was on the 27ish right?
@ash223 My guess, by looking at previous postings, is that the third wave of acceptances will be tomorrow & Wedneday, rejections again on Friday. No proof, just pure speculation…
^^ Agreed… Given the “pattern” so far, it is likely that the second round of people probably had to notify admissions of their decision by last Friday (6/3), which would make it likely that the 3rd round would begin tomorrow/Wednesday.
@Iannella thanks! You are right though. Only Harvard knows at this point. I hope it does follow the pattern
has anyone heard anything this week?
Nope.
Does anyone know when they start dealing with the “Z list”? I am assuming they must be almost done with filling 2020?
@joeqcollege I got a call earlier today. I was offered a place on the z list. I honestly didn’t expect it because I am in no way a legacy or from a high income background.
Same, @ash233! Not a legacy either.
Still debating whether to take it. Where were you headed before this Z-List offer?
dang… i really hope i get the call. ive thought bout it lots and i think for sure id take a z list spot. congrats you guys!! obviously wouldnt mind if you didnt take it though
Do you know if Harvard helps plan out a gap year?
And @tedamundo, where would you be headed if not for the z-list offer?
im not sure. i dont even know if they like ask you what youre doing or not. i know there was an article done by the crimson a couple of years ago that talked about kids who were z-listed and what they did. i think working and traveling are the most common things that ppl do. im sure once the z-list is complete there will be some way for all of you guys to communicate and you could probly get ideas from the others.
@clutch101 i would be headed to boston university.
ah well, ya win some ya lose some. congrats again to everyone who made it. i guess its time to fall in love with bu now lol
@tedamundo were u rejected last night?
So I was admitted off the waitlist Thursday…where’s the financial aid info?
Congrats nodaysoff97! My D was called off the waitlist on a Tuesday. Her portal was updated with the acceptance a few days later, a Friday I believe. The follwing morning she received an email that said financial aid offer was ready…good luck!
@margo41 indeed i was. obviously wish id either been let in or had just been cut loose back on march 31st. rough waiting for 2 and a half extra months only to get that dreaded rejection. i guess just try to use this as motivation to prove em wrong though. transferring/grad school still have potential as well.
URGH…Still waiting…
