I saw the waitlist post on reddit, it was a law school student. Not sure what that means for us though
I’m guessing no one is getting calls until after the latest AP exam time so as to avoid disturbing students when they are testing, but I feel like they aren’t going to wait until after Monday/Tuesday of next week.
If one is committed to Yale/Princeton, why still wait for Harvard? Just curious.
A friend of the family got off the Harvard Law School waitlist yesterday. Again, like someone said earlier, not sure what that means for undergrad or if there is any correlation whatsoever… Just thought I would put that out there.
@Driftwood1 i mean, its not like those three are the same exact schools but in different locations… each school has its own culture, and for some reason or another, ppl might pick harvard over yale or princeton where others may not. like, maybe smth just draws them toward harvard, despite already being admitted to other great schools! (like say, location, or even just liking the color red more than orange or blue LOL)
im committed to uw seattle, btw :3
Thanks for your reply. Best luck for you.
hey friends! per reddit/a friend, last year, the first wave came out on the 14th (although it was a tuesday). wondering if this trend will continue and some of us will get calls today. good luck we got this!!!
@Driftwood1 I committed to Princeton and accepted Harvard’s waitlist offer. To be honest, I just like to keep my options open, especially in a time of financial uncertainty like this. Also, Harvard has always been my first choice, so there’s no way I could turn down a chance to get into my dream school!
I’ll be going to Wellesley!
Has anyone heard anything?
congratulations!!! I’m a Wellesley grad myself - best 4 years ever! If my two kids weren’t boys, they’d be at Wellesley over Dartmouth!
Has anyone heard anything?
Other schools waitlists have been emails that there is a portal update rather than a call this year, likely because they’re out of the physical office. Do we think that will be the case with Harvard?
Hard to say, but that is a very real possibility (I doubt they wouldn’t want to give out AO’s personal phone numbers in any capacity)
There are many schools that are still calling, so I think it’s very possible that they call again this year. And, if they haven’t had a problem giving out phone numbers when they called in the past, I don’t think they would have a problem this year.
Did you get a call today that you were off the waitlist?
Nope! Do you know if they’re calling/have called anyone today?
@wavydavy I think @cruiserbruiser thought when you said “accepted waitlist offer” you meant that they accepted you from the waitlist. If I’m not mistaken, you just meant that you accepted a spot on the waitlist, right?

Oh, I am so sorry for the confusion. I meant that I accepted a spot on the waitlist.
Does anyone know how big the waitlist is? Could it be that much larger than usual? Will more people get off this year than most years?
