@1Phish Yeah only 5, but not everybody that gets in joins the facebook group. A lot of people, myself included, just join the group me instead of the facebook.
I asked my friend who got into Harvard '24 REA and she said that she didn’t know of any waitlist movement. However, I heard from another friend that their friend got a call yesterday. So it seems like there may have been a few calls released, but hopefully more to come!
I have a friend who got a call yesterday around 3 pm CT. She was admitted to class of 24, and she was very surprised to have even been waitlisted. Hopefully more of us will hear unexpectedly good news today!
the final wave of admissions/rejections is usually in late june !
Maybe this first wave was smaller seeing as though no one on here or Reddit got in directly. Usually there’s around 5 people who end up getting in who post about during the first wave. Also, does anyone know how long the admitted students have to reply. Last year they had exactly a week (my friend got in off the waitlist last year? Maybe it’s different this year.
@Waswas321123 Was that AO you mentioned from Harvard. If so, its seems strange they said movement would be closer to June considering offers where made yesterday.
has anyone heard anything today?
Nope. Haven’t seen anyone mention anything on reddit either.
Hi Guys. I finally decided to sign up after following this post ever since my daughter was placed on the WL. None of her friends or friends of friends have heard anything about WL movement.
Hey, I was just wondering if anyone had any estimates on how many students get waitlisted every year?
I’m in Colorado. No sign of waitlist movement from me or any of my peers yet.
We are in California. No sign.
nobody got off today?
I’m in Arizona. No known movement yet
Did anyone call H today?
Do you think it would benefit me to send in artwork as sort of an update for my portfolio? I applied EA (deferred) and sent in the Slideroom portfolio in October, but since then I’ve created many pieces for my AP portfolio. Also, I mentioned in my LOCI that I have received 8 art awards since applying, which might make it more relevant. Any advice?
@strawbri13 I think that you should send your new artwork. Especially as an art applicant, it’s a relevant update. I don’t think it’d hurt your chances anyway.
Also from CA (Bay Area). Committed to UC Berkeley right now. Haven’t heard of anyone in my area getting off waitlist
Not sure about Illinois. Maybe they’re doing calls by region?
Nothing in Hawaii
That’s what I’m thinking. This is just a theory, but so far, the people I’ve seen get off the waitlist have either been from New England or international. I don’t want to claim anything but they just might be doing it geographically???
