I want to know how you made it in and if you have any tips/suggestions/warnings about admissions as well as high school curriculum leading up to applying :) Thanks!

So you basically expect us to spend 20 minutes telling you our life story because you decided to copy & paste this exact thread in 15 different college forums? Have some class.

the different threads are for, again, the different schools they refer to. Many schools have different qualifications/preferences. For example, Umich values AP classes more than honors, while Princeton may value well-rounded ness more. It all varies and that’s why I asked.

Ouch… maybe he is just trying to be resourceful? Don’t be so rude.

Exactly! I’ve gotten some great advice from the different students, and they all were different because every school looks for distinguishing qualities!! All I’m trying to do is be more resourceful! Thank you :)

17, actually.

In another poster, I would call it extreme laziness. In his defense, however, he is a new poster. Still, these threads serve little use.

There are EA/ED/SCEA and RD results threads for Harvard and every other school going back at least as far as 2004 on this forum and several years prior to that on the old forum. Everything worth noting about admitted, deferred, rejected, and waitlisted applicants is contained in those threads.

As they are obviously not admissions officers, students have no way whatsoever of knowing what got them into a school. In fact, many posters have expressed complete mystification at their acceptances to Harvard, Yale, or other hyper-selective colleges.

Advice: Don’t be average.
