Harvard Account

Hey everyone,

I applied EA and clicked submit on October 15th - got a confirmation e-mail from CommonApp that my Common App and my Harvard supplement had indeed been submitted. Like everyone else, I got the e-mail a few days later saying that I needed to enter my e-mail address and get an activation code. When I did so, a message popped up saying that the server would sometimes be down from 4:30 to 6:30 AM (or something like that) even though it was in the afternoon. I didn't think much of it, and just tried again a few hours later, at which point it told me that my e-mail was a duplicate. I'm not really sure what to do (never got an activation code) and I e-mailed fileroom@fas.edu, but all I got in response was an e-mail saying that my request would be added to my admissions file.

Just kind of worried that I won't know if something's missing or if they've actually gotten my information. Does anyone have any guidance here? Is anyone having similar problems?

Apologies for the long post. Good luck to all of you!

It took them a couple of days to put everyone’s emails into the system, but I think by now it should have been in there…Hmm. Maybe call the Admissions Office? 617-495-1551 They are open 9-5 EST Monday-Friday.

If there’s anything missing, they will call you. They *actually want *to read your application, you know. Just relax.
