@sungirl :)) you’re way ahead
Of the game lol
@sungirl how did u get in already?
@MedSciBud - hey bro, I am finally able to access my status portal. Hope we all get into our dream college
@nillup She hasn’t. It’s just crazy talk for now.
I applied REA. I’m a little worried about my standerlized testing. I have 4.0 unweighted GPA. My SAT is 1490/1600 (690+800) and ACT 33, both are one sitting. And I have 800 Math II and 770 US history. I’m an international student, so English part on the exam is kind of tuff for me… Does anyone know that whether my scores can pass the threshold? My extracurricular and background are pretty unique. Thanks!!
@happyfcb1 even for US citizen they are acceptable score I guess …
@CrimsonZa @nillupa @T26E4 CHILL! I was JUST curious !
Sorry @sungirl I didn’t mean to be harsh. But seeing as how on edge people here can be — any hint of anything out of the ordinary sends people spinning! hahaha
I just wanted to quash that misperception of your post before it went further
@sungirl Jumping the gun a little, but it always helps to be informed and optimistic. Here is an article from the Harvard Crimson. In there somewhere, you should find a little description of the process (I believe) you’re asking about. Good luck! And I’ve applied early as well, so it’s great to meet you all.
Hi, guys. How influential do you think interviews are? I think I did a good job, but my interviewer also told me that the interview really doesn’t matter.
Your interviewer was right.
By the way anyone know when the decision notice will be sent out? Dec 15 or Dec 9?
@Rrrffffff I think last year they came out on December 9th or 8th
I am just curious. Has anyone from India who applied REA received an interview so far?
@Dreamliner51 - glad you were able to get the portal access issue fixed.
@sungirl - love your optimism. If you check on Harvard website or google for Admitted students, I am sure there is plenty of information about it.
@Rrrffffff and @nillupa - official target EA decision release date is December 15th. From previous years’ forums, looks like it has been out the Friday before Dec 15th. But of worthy note is that the previous years, the Friday before was like December 12th, but this year it is December 9th, which might be too early (almost one full week early). So, best hope is 22 days from today, but no later than 28 days.
You should wait to ask this question until such time as you actually get in.
I have looked at prior years and decisions have always been released at 5 pm the Thursday evening before the 15th. Last time the 15th fell on a Thursday, it was released that evening.
@Ceciliaagnes - great finding. Thank you.
After you said it, I also checked that the last time the December 15th was a Thursday was 2011 and EA results were released that day. So, this year’s EA results will also be released only on December 15th around 5pm ET. 28 days to go!
In 2015, SCEA results were released on Dec. 10 which was Thursday.
Correct. Looks like they release on the Thursday that is closest to the 15th.
