Thanks!
@IntoTheWoods - thank you.
Ahh… I really wanna watch that video…
I haven’t worked on a single supplement since Nov 1 8-X. I’m hoping to get some done the next few weekends…
Yeah
Anyone applying from Portugal or Spain?
Last year this thread’s equivalent hit like 300 pages (for EA)…we seem to be slacking!
@yerin2021 Same…I can’t find the motivation despite knowing I wont get in. It’s frustrating.
Does anyone know if admissions officers read the additional Recs? I’ve heard they tend to only read required stuff.
Also, if I submitted a research paper, what do they do with that?
@SummerSearching - wait till Dec 13th. I am sure we will get a lot of last min one word posts - like in last year’s - I saw someone posting “supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” like a 100 times on the day of decision release!
I just thought of a way that might potentially let you know your decision earlier… if you deliberately miss financial aid info, they will reach out to you if you are admitted. That way if you get an email asking for more documents, you know you are in!
Do you think they are still deliberating?
So since I submitted my Harvard application, I’ve made it to the semifinalist level for a couple of national awards. Even though it probably won’t make a huge difference, I’d like to update my application. I went on Harvard’s website and they said to do this through the Application Portal. I logged into my Portal, but I can’t find a place to update my application. Would I just send them an email?
@yawninglion - unfortunately I don’t think FA has any bearing on admissions. Those are two different processes. It probably makes sense for them to work only on accepted applicants, but IMO - if you are missing a document, the system automatically sends you an email asking for the documents.
@pineapple86 - on the application portal - all the way in the bottom is “Upload Materials”, where you can select “Academic Work” or “Miscellaneous” and upload files.
@MedSciBud this doesn’t change the admission decision at all. It’s just might be a quicker way to know. Let’s say if the admissions make the decision on 11.30 and pass on the student to financial aid office. When the financial aid office processes the student’s info, it’ll find the student’s documents are missing and send an email asking for them. When that happens, the student will known he or she got in because only admitted students are considered for financial aid. Of course CB asks for the missing info, but colleges do as well.
@yawninglion - good theory. Won’t work for me. Hope it works for you or someone else. Good luck.
Does anyone know when EA decisions come out? Lots are saying december 13. but last year it was december 10th, also does anyone know what time decisions come out, and if they send you an email or if its on the portal?
MODERATOR’S NOTE:
