Man I dont really feel scared actually, probably bcs im an international student and I know my chances are damn low… But we should remember that we indeed have done our best, so try your best (i know its hard, its hard for me too) not to worry over things we no longer have control over

This has been such a crazy process
Yale SCEA wishes everyone good luck, hoping we will all be enjoying a friendly rivalry at Harvard v Yale games next fall!
I have gotten to realize that whether I am admitted or not most likely won’t affect my life or my success in the long run. It really is all down to you people. There is no university out there that can compensate or substitute you as people. I take my parents as an example who both graduated from University of Belgrade, School of medicine, which I can bet none of you have ever heard of, and are nowadays far better skilled and qualified doctors (nephrologist and pathologist) than most graduates from the Ivies/Oxbridge as well as more desired (as a matter of fact, doctors from Oxbridge were more often than not offered positions in hospitals all over the world only after my parents rejected them).
So whether you get in now or don’t and whether you’re admitted to some other Ivy in the regular action or aren’t, care about it. Be enthralled and be disappointed. But the absolute worst thing that you could do regardless of the outcome would be thinking that your acceptance/rejection will be what will determine the quality of your future lives.

Just remember that our hard work and dedication throughout high school are not defined by these decisions and they are in no way a measure of your worth or value!!

No matter what it says on that portal, it doesn’t mean you are not good enough. It doesn’t mean anyone is better than you. It doesn’t determine your intelligence. It doesn’t determine what you will go on to do with the rest of your life. And, it will now affect the person you grow up to be. Your life will not be over.
