Harvard Class of 2021 SCEA Applicants Discussion

Deffered, sad, but congrats to those who made it in!

Honestly I am just giving up now. With a 5% admission rate during RD, international student from France (2 applicants per year), my chances are next to 0. I will still send some extra stuff to them but apart from that, it has been nice meeting you all and congratulations to everybody who got it. You rule, I guess I don’t.

Are there any Indians here who got in??

@STEM2017 , how many of those 4673 deferrals were accepted?

I got in!!! I can’t believe this. Good luck to all of you!!!

@girlgoingtouni Probably 6% (maybe a bit more), just like everyone else in the RD pool.

any africans who got in?

@girlgoingtouni Yes.

Any undocumented students who got in?

@yerin2021 congrats! can i dm you?

Deferred. Meh. Might as well straight-out rejected me

Yeah SCEA was my only shot since it was a slightly smaller pool. :frowning:

Is ther going to be a deferred thread?

I’m a native american and got deferred… RIPPPP

@theriightwei so basically this thread without 3 people?

DS was lucky and got in. For those of you who did not, you WILL end up somewhere good and you WILL be happy in college. But today is a hard day.

Accepted! I haven’t posted on here much but I’ll hop over to the results thread for you juniors. For those who were deferred, please don’t think one admission decision (that isn’t even finalized) is indicative of your self-worth, your intelligence, or your hard work. My biggest takeaway is that it’s all about self-marketing and the numbers game. Regardless of where everyone ends up, I’m confident that CCers will make the most of their opportunities.

Edit: for those asking about specific demographics of EA admits, you might want to check the results thread when it fills out. I’m Asian and from Southern US.

Deferred

@BunnyMonster Congrats! Also, is that a Turner painting in your thumbnail?

ACCEPTED THIS IS INSANE
