@violin19 If this year’s admissions behave similar to how they did last year, a large group of people should get decisions tomorrow-- some of which will be acceptances. However, there’s no guarantee that they’ll do the same thing so who knows
@HonorIsKey Do you know how many got in day1 and day2 last year? How many do you estimate will get in tmr ?
For reference anyone who asked-
I sent in a LOCI after I was deferred explaining why I want to go to Harvard, and another LOCI after I got waitlisted that had new accomplishments. I also sent in a rec letter from my State Senator.
Beyond that- 36 ACT, white midwestern male, lots of leadership ec’s, and I’m a comp sci/government double major.
@BigBrained okay, so I double checked what happened on last year’s thread and found that they had 4 people post about their acceptances on the 14th. Two days later, lots of people got rejected and those who didn’t had to wait about two weeks to be in the next wave. Sadly, I misspoke when I said that people were accepted in the days immediately after the first small wave.
2 weeks for the next wave ?? Dang thats a long time
@BigBrained does that mean they already sent out all the acceptances? Is it over for us
@plsHarvardpls There’s no way of knowing because so few of the 63 admits from last year’s waitlist posted about it on here.
@plsHarvardpls If there has been 5 reported online, I feel like the’ve sent 10-15 at least already. Idk about more. Also im not on the waitlist lol i just want my friends to get in. Go Bulldogs !
Do you know how many total from last year posted about it online ? Thx
@majo3181 Thanks for the info. Congrats again!
Ok first off all you complaining about Cornell Stanford and Columbia should be grateful. Some of us got rejected from those schools and more and are going to be attending way worse places.
Hallelujah. UPitt
They’re right, tho. I mean, if you want to go to Harvard, you def should stay on the waitlist.
You can stay but don’t complain
exactly @stanny cuz like i would die to go to any of those schools
I don’t think they’re complaining AT ALL - they’re just hopeful about Harvard still - but emotional IQ does require being sensitive and empathetic to other people’s situations … my son is over the moon about Dartmouth but we’re still just wondering about Harvard. No harm in that at all.
@ivymom1921 I know. What I mean is that the chances of getting off are already unimaginably slim, so it’s not worth even worrying or thinking about it. Discussion is always free to anyone but at the end of the day, everyone should be happy to where they committed (which many of you have amazing options). If it happens then that’s really great but if not… that’s not a big deal at all! I do understand the irritation of some of us here that are left with attending a local safety school, getting off is like a far fetched dream. In short, we should all hope for the best for one another and appreciate every opportunity we have been offered by achieving outsanding things wherever we’re spending the next 4 years. Beings waitlisted shows us how high we can reach regardless of our unis of choice.
Does anyone know when the second wave came out last year?
@skip123 the second group posted their acceptances on CC around May 30th or 31st
My first choice was EA Harvard, so I remained on their waitlist. But since I had a firm offer from Yale, I declined waiting list places on Columbia and Penn - it just seemed the right thing to do, and not take up space on those 2 waitlists and needlessly crowd those spaces.
For those who are not accepted from the waiting list, when do rejection letters come in? Thanks
