Harvard Class of 2023 Waitlisted Discussion

@yuhhhhh woah, fun! Recently as in this weekend?

@aiyalele Within the past week, yes. It went over pretty well. I haven’t heard of any kids getting rejected after having one of these, so I got my fingers crossed

@yuhhhhh and ur interviewer indicated that the next wave would drop this week?

Yes

Any news from Harvard? Emails, phone calls, etc.?

Nothing for me yet. I’m thinking Wednesday

Isn’t the second wave usually at the end of May? Would be surprised if it was this week tbh. But still lmk!

@yasyasyas Looking at last year’s 2022 Harvard Waitlist forum, it appears that you are correct about a second wave of decisions rolling out towards the end of May. Things may change, however, this year - who knows! haha

I’m so anxious about this process - Harvard is the best fit for my endeavors in education policy. Guess I’ll just have to wait by my phone, wishing for the best!

Anyone hear anything?

Anything?

Nothing here. I checked my portal (I check it 4 times a day lol), and it hasn’t changed.

Nothing for me either. They did say at earliest it would be this week, latest next week, so I sorta assumed it’d be this week considering Memorial Day

Hey guys, did your safari viewer of the portal change or is it just me?

@stranger447011 No changes here. Can you describe what you are seeing on your portal?

Does anyone else have these changes??

Okay looking at the 2022 Waitlist Harvard forum

First wave of decisions came out on Wednesday, May 16. The second wave came out exactly two weeks after that date on Wednesday, May 30. So if the trends hold, the first wave this year was on Wednesday, May 15, so the second wave this year should be exactly one week from today on Wednesday, May 29.

If you’re accepted and it follows last years pattern, then you’ll know probably on the 28th

This feels like water drip torture. I hope they just release it today!

My counselor said the second wave will come two weeks after the first wave. Previous CC threads corroborate this claim. Guess we’ll see the second wave next week, if there even is one.

Could be a bit earlier. But it’s looking like it could be Tuesday

FWIW: Next week is graduation week, As half of Harvard’s Full Admissions Committee are faculty members who will be heavily involved in all the graduation festivities, I seriously doubt the next wave of decisions will come out next week. The next wave will probably come the week of June 3rd. So, as difficult as it might be, sit tight for a week See: https://handbook.fas.harvard.edu/book/calendar-academic-year
