Harvard Countdown!

Haha yeah true - but about my personal CONTINUED interest (considering I was deferred EA). Idk, it just feels weird thinking I'm the only one (who was deferred) who didn't send anything to Harvard yet.

9 Days 18 Hours 53 Minutes & 48 Seconds!!

Um...I'm sorry but you seem paranoid (not that I wasn't paranoid either:)) Look, for your own good, go find something to immerse yourself in. I'm trying to do just that. Anything but this excruciating yet useless wait.

miaoling- you calling me paranoid or apdoolittle?

... ;) I hope you didn't mean me... I'm too busy to immerse myself in anything else! I think miaoling meant the people with the countdowns. Idk, in any case: while I'm personally a very involved student, I can't help (like virtually all applicants) but wait anxiously for my decision. I'm just not counting the seconds on a cheap countdown timer. ;) W/e... good luck to you all!

It takes forever. We have been waiting for THE DECISION so long. Now, I can't wait any minute longer. I WANT TO KNOW!!!!!!

but still 8 days and 23 hours 23 minutes 2 seconds to go. ~~~-_-~~~~

Well, tomorrow morning my school is faxing the updates to my application. It's going directly to the Long Island Admissions Officer (Regional Director). I'm worried that they already made a decision or that it's too late to read new materials, etc. I guess it can't hurt to try!

^^uhh, well you're out of luck because that's what this thread is based on, hence the thread's title "Harvard Countdown"^^
good luck to you anyway =)

so i'm guessing all our decisions have been made by now?

I am so excited. According to Harvard Gazette, the decisions are made today. Good luck guys!

I was talking about everyone who's quoting countdown stats (yeah, that includes you, Squiggle:D) Never mind, I'm just short of setting the countdown page by SalikSyed as my homepage;)

8 days!

some hours

8 days 3 hours ~11minutes

Hey, is Harvard sending out an e-mail with our decision? Or, is it sending an e-mail saying that the decisions are up on the website? Or, do we just have to keep refresing the page until it works?

What about the other Ivies, anyone know?

Oh, and this is just an opinion. Do you think decisions will be posted/mailed a) early, b) exactly on time, or c) late?
I personally think that all of us fanatical college junkies will clog up the bandwith and temporarily wreak havoc on the server just as we're about to get our decisions ;-)

miaoling- lol i'm probably the least paranoid person that you could ever meet. obviously i have fun in my life. haha have you read any of my other posts on topics other than college admissions? i actually find the wait less excruciating by counting down. it makes it more fun. plus, it makes it more believable that time is actually going by. good luck to everyone!! :)

"Hey, is Harvard sending out an e-mail with our decision? Or, is it sending an e-mail saying that the decisions are up on the website?"

Yeah, I'm wondering about that, too. If we have to go to a website, I'll probably wait a few hours after 5. I won't be in any serious rush.

The decision is directly in the email.

Thanks Flipsta...wow, that's kind of intimidating. I wonder if the e-mails say "Sorry" or "Congratulations" in the subject line, or if they just say "Decision" and you've got to work up the nerve to open it...
I suppose I'm looking a little too deep...but hey! A week and some hours left. I'm excited. And nervous as bologna.

Well the subject line (if it's the same as it was for EA) will just say something like "Harvard Admissions Decision" or something like that. Each letter (and e-mail - b/c they're the same) starts off w/ something general and then leads into the decision. So, haha, you've got a split second of nerve-racking suspense to deal with as soon as you check your e-mail (and open the message).

I'm nervous right now!!! Good luck to everyone!!! :)

haha there was this one science fair I entered which sent results by email, and when i got the email it said "Unfortunate News". That would seriously suck if Harvard did that.
