Ooooo, liquor? Count me in! I have a UIL competition next Friday and Saturday - I'll just write my timed essay about why Harvard sucks, or about the excellent state of college education in America.

divanny, i'm competing in UIL too. what part of texas are you from? I'm from north texas

I am FREAKING out! Hahahahha. Im like a coke addict...all moving, scratching, jittering, trembling, waiting...just a few more days.

I'm in the Houston area.

Suggestions to make time go faster:

-watch the pot until it boils
-watch paint dry
-watch grass grow
-paint grass and watch it dry as it grows
-watch cartoons until your brain freezes (and ceases perception of time)
-eat ten gallons of ice cream so your brain actually freezes and ceases perception of time
-run really, really fast along the spin of the earth in hopes of speeding up revolution, and hence, the next few days

i just wanna get into harvard so i can say I got into harvard, i have no intent of attending lol... but maybe ... you never know i might like it or something... but it sucks at engineering.

lol tkm256, that made me smile

my prediction: if you get an email before 6 pm, you are accepted!!!

...between 6 pm and 7 pm, you are deferred!!

...aftr 7 pm, you are rejected!

do you mean waitlisted, HopefulDove...

yeah, it's typo; changed my "deferred" to "waitlisted."

Hopeful, I also thought that they sent decisions in that order. at least, someone told me that they did that for EA decisions... I sure do hope that i get my decision before 6...

good luck to everybody on cc!!!!!!!!!!

Is anyone else as nervous/anxious as I am???? I'm waiting to hear back from 6 IVIES!!!!! God help me! ;) Do you suppose Acceptance into both Williams and Amherst (Early Write) is a good indicator of Ivy League acceptance(s)? In any case, good luck to you all!

im only waiting for 2 ivies.

im hoping to crack one.

i know we've all done a lot of work (and i mean A LOT especially if it's Harvard), but only a few will make it unfortunately.

i applied to 4 and i have been basically accpeted at 1. so im waiting on 3. i think 6 is crazy which one did you NOT apply to?

I was going to apply to 4 Ivies, but I got lazy and only applied to Harvard...

I am still very nervous and anxious about thursday though.

Some people apply to Ivies just because they're Ivies!

I applied to 4, considered 5, but I think even 4 was a lot.

Change your computer's date to March 30, then click on the countdown.

i'm not really nervous because im really hoping to get accepted... i didn't really try to game the admissions or anything. people i know just kinda hoped they'd get in and never really had a rare reason they could explain or something

i applied to 2 ivies, not because they're ivies, but because i loved the schools and the programs they had to offer, among other reasons. i don't even like to call them "ivies" because i like both schools for different reasons and therefore don't like grouping them together like that, even if they are both in the ivy league. k i guess i'm done. gonna actually do some homework now.
