Harvard Graduate School of Design

Hey,

I was wondering if I got get a response from a former, current, or prospective graduate student for Harvard's Architecture Master Program.
I'm currently and undergrad at the University of Florida pursuing a Bachelor of Arts with a type of architecture minor my school offers. I'm really interested in the type of program Harvard offers for architecture student; it's curriculum really draws me in.

I'm doing well in school now, and I do not fall into the belief that GPA and test scores are the most important factors to get accepted. However, I'm a bit worried about previous courses I have taken and failed. I've mostly had A's and B's, but I went through a rough time (which I would explain in my personal statement/essay) and didn't do well in two courses my freshman and sophomore year.

Will my application be pushed aside because of these "mistakes" (though I don't see them like that, but I assume the admissions team would)?

Thanks for any responses

Hi there, honestly I don’t think they will push you aside because of your overall gpa, they look at your architecture gpa. Also the single most important thing in your application is your portfolio, so as long as you have a good portfolio, along with some strong recommendation letters from your professors I think you can still be considered for admission regardless of your gpa.
