Wel, u must cling on to the hope that your admissions officer felt your app didnt need an interview to go to committee not likely, i know, but there is a slim chance.

@lordsum hahaha, I think itâs better for us to just move on at this point reallyâŚ

I agree with @rokr32. Harvardâs an amazing school and Iâd have loved to attend but that doesnât mean I wonât be happy at another college. And Iâd rather expect a rejection and then be admitted than hope for an acceptance and be rejected.

@Conscience13 I know that they are not able to arrange face-to-face interview. What I want to know is that is it possible to get a Skype interview, even though one is from a âNot listedâ country.

Yup, it is! Skype interviews are given to applicants in areas where alumni is available Again, these seem to be selective as well.

I am an applicant from Germany and got an interview early feb. The admissions guy handling my application called me directly he said he was interested in my âstoryâ. He said that internationals do go through a certain screening and after that are in the general pool not in the international one anymore. Most of those that get in the second round do get an interview although not all. He said that it is always up to admissions officer handling your applications. I have really low stats (ACT 29) and went to a poor, rural school in Fiji. I guess it´s all a chance kinda thing. I don´t think that I will get in! Keep holding on guys! But does anyone know the exact date of decision releases is?

Oh yeah and it was via phone

HmmmâŚcanât wait to read my rejection letter and appreciate the flattery coming from Harvard.

But seriously, I feel that something happened last week as Harvard stopped replying my emailsâŚI was trying to talk to them about a peer counseling(helping intâl students applying) thing I stirred up at my school and asked them for some information, they gave me some totally irrelevant information and so I wrote back. Nothing.

My guess is that they are going to committee, and I am not.

@savusavu

Yay someone from Germany!

Decisions are come out on March 27th, 5pm EST.

or is it EDT?

as far as Iâm concerned, if they reject me, its their loss.
lol, at least thatâll be what i tell myself.

not all internationals who go to committee get interviews appears to be the consensusâŚbut if you are from india and havnt got an interview, like me, start stocking up on the best ice cream in town.

@lordsum âŚICE CREAM!!! The best remedy possible! But the good thing is that we have more time to prepare ourselves for the newsâŚthis is much better than reading a rejection email on the 27th (or 28th early morning in India) with all hopes and dreams crashing at once!

Letâs hope we all get some other nice offers before 27th.
Rejection wonât matter if youâve got what you want right? Personally I am looking forward to Carnegie Mellon.and Northwestern
